Advocate Cat Small Orange is a monthly spot-on treatment that protects cats against a range of parasites. It is effective in preventing and treating fleas, flea larvae, heartworm, roundworm, hookworm, ear mites, and lungworm. Advocate reduces the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis and breaks the flea life cycle. One treatment lasts for up to a month. It is safe for kittens from 9 weeks of age and can be used on ferrets with proper weight guidelines. While Advocate does not control tapeworms or ticks, it is highly recommended for indoor cats or cats with a low risk of ticks. Some of the keys points are:

  • Advocate for Cats and Kittens provides monthly protection against fleas, mites, lice, heartworm, and intestinal worms.
  • It is effective against fleas by killing them before they bite the animal and reducing the incidence of Flea Allergy Dermatitis.
  • It also prevents heartworm infection if started one month before exposure to mosquitoes.
  • The treatment controls roundworms, hookworms, ear mites, and lungworms.
  • One treatment lasts for up to a month and is safe for kittens from 9 weeks of age and ferrets with weight guidelines.
  • Advocate does not protect against ticks and tapeworms, and Drontal is recommended for tapeworm control.
  • It is an easy-to-use, monthly spot-on treatment recommended for indoor cats or those with low tick risk.

Direction for use:

  • For external application only.
  • Apply to the back of the cat's neck.

Notes:

  • Safe for use in kittens from 9 weeks of age, but not established as safe for pregnant and lactating queens.
  • Does not protect against paralysis ticks, recommended to use with Seresto collar or tick preventative product.
  • Does not protect against tapeworm, use Drontal every 3 months for tapeworm control.
  • Consult a veterinarian if your cat has not been on consistent heartworm prevention prior to using Advocate.
  • Contact a veterinarian if unsure about dosing this product.
